COMMITMENT TO SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT

Safety

Safety is our core value at Clough Wood. Safety is central to everything we do, and we consider it vital to the success of our business. Safety is more than a set of policies and procedures, it is a constant journey developing and maintaining positive awareness to shape our safety culture.

At the heart of our approach to health and safety is our Beyond Zero program. This provides a practical guide enabling our managers and supervisors to lead and improve health and safety performance.

While our commitment to safety is reflected in our safety performance statistics, we continue to work towards a workplace that is incident and injury free. Leading indicators play a key role in the measurement of our safety performance. We have also implemented various risk management programs to lock in safety learning and to proactively manage the risks associated with our activities.

Environment

Clough Wood understands both the importance of environmental conservation and our responsibility to manage our activities. We are committed to minimising pollution and delivering environmental excellence in collaboration with our Clients.

Our environmental management processes enable us to identify and manage the way our business directly and indirectly impacts the environment. These processes are championed by our environmental specialists and delivered by our management team who continue to seek ways to minimise our environmental foot print.

Brownfield management systems

Our project execution is supported by a suite of management tools and systems developed to integrate and enhance the delivery process.

PROJECT CONTROLS EXPERTISE

Central to successful project execution is an effective project controls system.

Clough Wood utilises Oracle ERP which efficiently manages the monitoring of costs against budgets and forecasts and accommodates change management.

The delegation of authority within the project module is embedded in the workflow structure leading to greater control of project costs, supply chain, procurement and client invoicing.

QUALITY & PERFORMANCE

We operate and maintain an integrated quality management system consisting of processes, tools and technologies designed to ensure the successful delivery of our contracts and projects to the satisfaction of our Clients.

Our quality management system promotes ongoing process assessment, reviews and analysis through a comprehensive audit program that forms the foundation of continuous improvement within the organisation.

Our quality management system is independently certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY

MAP

The Major Accident Prevention program (MAP) provides all employees, from the workforce to the executive level, with the critical tools to prevent major accident events from occurring.

By analysing activities with potential for major accidents or events, and implementing critical controls, MAP provides lifesaving tools to provide real-time, line of sight management of potential major hazards.

PICS

Our software, PICS, enables a standardised approach to planning allowing our staff to account for risk in the planning process.

PICS is a database developed by our parent company AMEC, that is used to plan workscope with an interface with Primavera scheduling tools and creates work pack production.

PICS allows for real time summary data reports and holds once planned data for reuse, saving time, effort and cost for this next shutdown.
